Dr Baker is a fully qualified specialist Clinical Immunologist with extensive experience across both public and private healthcare settings.

Dr Andrew Baker

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Dr Baker holds a MBChB from the  University of Otago and is registered with the New Zealand Medical Council (NZMC). His immunology/ allergy specialist qualification is the FRACP (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and he is a member of the NZCIAG (New Zealand Clinical Immunology and Allergy Group) and ASCIA (Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy).

Practices of Waitemata Allergy Clinic are in line with those of the BSACI (British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology and AAAAI (American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology).

Simone Stephens

Registered Nurse, Grad. Cert in Allergy, Post Grad Dip Advanced Nursing, Associate member ASCIA, NZCIAG member.

Simone is a registered nurse and specialises in immunology and allergy with almost 15 years experience in the field. This includes nursing management of immune deficiency therapy, allergy challenges, allergy desensitization, anaphylaxis management and education.

Simone has been involved in research paving the way for use of subcutaneous immunoglobulin to help people with immune system weakness (CVID) as well as doing research into the management of urticaria/hives with Xolair. Simone has been a presenter at ASCIA, regarding this research and introduction of subcutaneous immunoglobulin. Simone has been involved in local DHB guideline development as well as PHO education of nurses for allergy. She is a founding member of the Nurses Committee of NZCIAG.
